Blog Entry #1: Technology Autobiography

As everyday goes by, I experience technology. I learn from it more than I imagine. Year after year, our technology improves more and more, but it also gives many individuals the exposure of it.
Technology gives many people a way of communication (cell phones, email, typed letters, etc.). Some people say that technology sometimes pulls them away from the importance of life. For example, cell phones. With many teenagers having cell phones, parents think it is taking away time from them, but texting with cell phones is our way of communicating today unlike the way they communicated in their ages.
As far as technology goes for me, I am very well experienced. In my 5th through 8th grade year I was involved in STLP (Student Technology Leadership Program). This program brought me to where I am now, as of, being in this Computer Technology class my junior year, and knowing of how to do work with spreadsheet, powerpoint, and many other applications on a computer/laptop.
Outside of what I've learned in school, cell phones, ipods, and my personal laptop have taught me a few things. I think the way I edit and work with things teaches me more than I know. I am just experiencing more as a student and as an individual. As a student, I have created a blog, something I never thought I would do. As an individual, I have had to learn how to monitor my use of technology. I can't bury my face in a cell phone, I appreciate other technolgy, and value face to face communication.
So I would end by saying that technology is and always will be an interaction to life, a way of communicating, and a way to bring new thoughts and knowledge to the outside world.
